Kwara Film Festival (KFF) is birthed to celebrate the art of film making and the contributions of film makers in Kwara State by hosting a National Film Festival that will educate, inform and entertain young film creatives, entrepreneurs and also develop programs for economic, educational, entertainment and cultural benefits embedded in our state.
OVERVIEW OF KFF:
Kwara Film Festival (KFF) will be the new annual destination for outstanding film experience and celebration in Nigeria every December.
An exciting cinematic showcase that provide complete exposure into the into the world of film making which present opportunities for local and international filmmakers, celebrities, actors, directors, film marketers, distributors, film critics, visual artists, film students, amateurs, equipment handlers.
OBJECTIVES OF KFF:
KFF is an initiative meant to develop the film industry in Kwara State to a level where the products can compete favorably with their counterparts all over the world.
KFF will provide growth opportunity for the growing film Industry as a profession that will eventually clinch export status to the world at large.
KFF would facilitate access to motion pictures investors, film equipments and skill acquisition programs through series of quality workshops to be hosted at the commencement of the festival and seminars.
KFF will celebrate Kwara indigenous talents that are already representing Kwara state in the movie Industry
KFF is aimed at creating a link and ending the gap between the upcoming film makers and professional film makers in Nigeria
KFF is aimed at showcasing the beauty of Kwara State to the outside world and with a mission to sell the State as a favorable location to shoot movies of any standard.
In furtherance, we are committed to sustaining KFF as an initiative for celebrating artistic excellence found in revealed African stories and Cinematic experience. Our goal is to continue to project Kwara State and promote it’s young promising talents that are into film making. We will continue to build partnerships that would create value and opportunities for Kwara Film makers and continue to invest in the development of young talents in Kwara State.
SIGNIFICANT OF FILM FESTIVAL
Film Festivals are a vital link in the chain of global film culture in the world. In the 21st century, Film festival will encourage the breadth and variety of views. Cinema is usually democratic due to its uses of most appropriate language for wider audiences and can be accessible almost everywhere via the Internet.
However, Kwara Film Festivals will be a rendezvous for filmmakers and those interested in the world of Film making to discus, learn and enjoy cinematic experience. It’ll bring about different approaches to life, film as an art, a medium and a tool of social expression. Generally, film festivals offer filmmakers platform to introduce their creativity and discuss topics related to movies as well as the filmmaking process.
This film festival will contribute and increase the area of critical thinking and foster active participation in film making amongst young film makers in Kwara state.
It will also be teaching young film makers how to make money from their ready made movies and also create avenues and platforms to access loans to execute future production.

Final Day screening and short documentary on Kwara State and the screening of a prominent movie shot in kwara State 10am – 7pm
Seminar (Interactive session between invitees and professional film makers and actors) on Film Making
